We are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded insurance and claims management organisation that is seeking a Senior Account Handler – Real Estate Casualty to join their specialist Real Estate team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced casualty claims professional looking to join a collaborative, technically strong team with exposure to both UK and European claims.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations & Client Relationship Manager – Casualty, you will be responsible for the desktop handling of UK and European Real Estate Casualty claims, managing files from cradle to grave while delivering exceptional client service.
The role operates on a hybrid basis and offers strong scope for technical development and account management exposure.
About the Role:
- Full lifecycle handling of UK and European Real Estate Casualty claims, predominantly Public Liability (injury) and Third-party property damage
- Acting as a technical referral point when required
- Managing allocated client accounts
- Attending client meetings and presentations
- Delivering technical input and training where appropriate
- Proactive diary management and file lifecycle control
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence (email, telephone, video calls)
- Liaising with insured parties, insurers, brokers, adjusters and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service
- Working closely with UK and European Casualty Adjusters and Account Management teams
- Producing client reports, technical advice and performance data
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, data protection and information security standards
- Time recording, billing and invoicing in line with internal systems and SLAs
- Data capture, MI production and performance reporting
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience handling Casualty Claims on a cradle-to-grave basis
- Strong Public Liability claims experience (both injury and third-party property damage) – essential
- Experience handling UK claims and familiarity with relevant protocols (including the Low Value Claims Portal)
- Confidence undertaking desktop investigations, assessing: Policy coverage, Liability, Reserving, Delegated and non-delegated authority claims
- Experience managing a significant caseload
- Strong reporting and client communication skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent attention to detail
- Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively within a wider team
- Experience managing client accounts or schemes
- Ability to work to SLAs, fee income targets and performance metrics
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Exposure to Real Estate claims and/or European claims handling
- Additional European language skills (Spanish, French, German or Italian)
- A professional claims qualification (or currently working towards one)
