Our client, a growing international insurance services company, is looking for a Travel Insurance Claims Handler to join their friendly and dynamic team based in Cardiff (hybrid working available).
Responsibilities include:
- Managing an allocation of travel insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement
- Assessing indemnity, liability, and quantum on travel claims
- Identifying potential fraud indicators and recovery opportunities
- Negotiating fair and timely settlement of claims
- Proactively managing case loads to ensure service standards are met
- Supporting the Claims Team Leader with day-to-day departmental activity
- Providing outstanding service to customers, third parties, and suppliers
- Contributing to process improvements and sharing ideas to enhance efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements
About you:
- Previous experience in a travel insurance claims
- Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
- Confident decision-maker with sound judgement
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Organised and able to meet daily and weekly deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable working with data to identify trends
