Do you have proven sales experience within insurance and a desire to exceed annual targets?
Our client, a leading financial services firm based in central Bristol, is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join their team. You will provide market intelligence in agreed formats and assist the firm in becoming the preferred supplier of risk products through demonstrating exemplary sales behaviours and technical excellence. You will also develop sustainable and profitable business relationships with a panel of nominated advisors.
Carry out face to face proposition selling using agreed and compliant materials
Work with advisors, sales support and on occasions end-clients to retain existing profitable schemes
Run regular key account management meetings and maintain an accurate log of all activity pertinent to that account based upon agreed documentation
Ensure that advisers are kept 100% up to date on all company material and propositions as they are launched, amended or released
Ensure 100% new business follow up is achieved and that feedback is given in the agreed formats
Undertake all tender and external/internal presentation work for cases of strategic focus
Seek specific business partnership opportunities such as SEAs, bulk transfers and new to market campaigns, and take these from the start point to contract signatures
Ensure that all corporate entertaining events are set up, attended and supported by appropriate guests
Your skills and experience:
You will have proven sales experience ideally gained in a Group Risk environment
You will be an engaging individual that can build strong relationships, with excellent selling, negotiating and persuasion skills
You will be a commercial and entrepreneurial individual that aims to maximise profitability wherever possible
You will have excellent presentation and written communication skills
You will have attained GR1 or working towards it with a clear bias towards technical and legislative excellence
