Our client, a leading Accountancy Firm, is seeking an Audit Technical Director to join their team. This is a great opportunity to shape audit policy and support teams across the UK in delivering best-in-class service. This role is primarily remote but some travel to the office required to fully embrace this role.
The Role
- Offer expert guidance on complex audit, financial reporting, and ethical issues
- Deploy technical expertise where it’s needed most across audit engagements
- Align support with up-to-date industry standards
- Oversee the enhancement and upkeep of technical resources
- Play an active role in internal quality monitoring and continuous improvement processes
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and assist during external audit reviews
- Translate regulatory changes into clear, actionable processes for audit teams
- Monitor and respond to changes in UK and international regulation to futureproof audit approaches
About You:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with post-qualified experience
- Deep technical knowledge of UK auditing standards, FRS 102, IFRS, and ethical requirements
- Experience in a technical, quality, or senior audit leadership role
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proactive and passionate about continuous improvement
- Experience engaging with regulators (e.g. ICAEW, FRC) is advantageous
